Casual Friday is a tricky concept, and all investment banks do it differently. If you’re not meeting a conservative client at the end of the week, try playing with more exciting colors and patterns.
I have built this look around a purple lace skirt. Of course, it will also work well with darker shades of green, blue or a light pink.
I like to keep the rest of the outfit in a neutral color. The skirt is here paired with a black peplum top from Hugo Boss. It gives an elegant silhouette to all long skirts, and it comes in several other colors as well.
The black pumps are from Steve Madden, and not too high for the office.
To add a bit of playfulness, try this long, beaded pendant necklace from Panacea. And to top it all off, grab a pair of these sunglasses from Gentle Monster in either black or pink. Sunglasses are still ok on Fridays. I mean, it could actually be the day of the week where you are able to leave the office when the sun is out – so be prepared!
If you want to make your nails match the rest of the outfit, try this OPI nail polish in color Act Your Beige! It is definitely one of those conservative colors that will work for you the rest of the week as well.
This outfit errs on the safe side of caution, and I’d say you could probably be even more colorful. But again, an investment banking casual Friday isn’t like others. Click here to read about general dress codes for women on Wall Street.
